Not what I expected (or wanted)
Not really what I was looking for, split romance with mother and daughter relationships getting equal time. Heavy on the emotional upheaval and everyday life of trying to move on after the death of a loved one, depression with thoughts of suicide,Alzheimer's disease,PTSD, and oddly, wildly vindictive neighbors. The quality writing you always get with Mann but slower moving and not a story I was, personally, feeling.
