For you visual learners, what it feels like to read this series

Even though I never rated an individual book 5 stars, I think these 5 first books deserve a 5 star rating. It was engrossing and addicting, even when it was going off the rails.

The endless and what turned out to be pointless tangents the story went off on though, really started to grate on me. I know they were there to lead us readers down the wrong paths and to keep guessing but after a while I started to find myself becoming less invested because I knew nothing was going to come of where Mac was heading. 

Still, the world building was amazing and I definitely recommend this to any and all, must like fantasy/paranormal.

The next time you all come at me to read a series I'm going to run away crying, this stole my life for a couple days.
